Perhaps I don't have to tell you what a crazy and rainy last few days it has been. Storm after storm has rolled through, and sadly, some of them very violent. However, all is well here at the little house. Today the sky is blue and nearly cloudless. It's amazing how well the weather can recover and the natural world move on, almost as though nothing has happened.
Almost like the weather itself, my inspiration to paint has been extremely wishy-washy, with dark grumbling undertones of not knowing what the next step is. I know I have the whole summer to get organized....and a whole new world of time once *someone* is in school full time 5 days a week (what will I do with myself?!) Starting to think hard about how best to promote my art and if craft shows, as much as I love the people and comradery that goes with them, are the right venue for what I'm making.

Lots to think about....there's changes in the air. Hoping for clarity and new direction.
Do you have big plans for passions this summer?

those pictures are so nice....
as for summer, hoping that it won't be mad hot her in socal...that we have just enough money and a whole lot of energy to do some things for our little family...to keep ourselves busy in a good way and to relax and enjoy the simplest of things...
also, love the look the blog has now...very nice my friend :)
I'm planning on finally sitting down and writing a book this summer/fall! I'm eager to do so in my new old house. My baby, my 4th, will be in 1st grade this fall and it's going to be a whole new world for me too. 14 years of always having a kid around for most of the day is about to end! Weird!
I love those shots you took, especially the angled one of your little girl with the umbrella! I wish you luck as you figure out your next steps. I'm sure you'll know the right thing when you see it.
I'm so glad you and the family are safe. This weather has been just horrible and so scary. For awhile we had nothing but rain, but now it's warm and sunny. I like the sunny but not so big on the warm part this time of year. LOL Your little one looks so cute with her Hello Kitty umbrella. Not sure what my summer passions are right now - just keep on doing the same thing, I guess! :) Enjoy the weekend! Theresa
LOVE your rainbow:) And I can honestly say that I don't have much clarity and direction right now. However, summer is just about here and the long lazy days will be welcomed. I am fortunate that come this fall both the girls will finally be in school all day -and I too will be wondering what to do with myself. Have a Blessed week!
