Well here she is, my first painting of the season in cool spring colors. I do like how she turned out :) she's in sort of a 1920s style but also timeless, surrounded by pretty stylized flowers. This is April Flowers.
I've got lots of plans for some new things this coming spring :) I'm in the mood to start some dolls....wont that be fun??? I've missed that a bit. And don't worry, I'm still working on the book illustrations. But the luxury of doing it on my own, is doing it on my own time :) I do have the third illustration on the board right now though.

So I guess it's obvious who we're keeping--- and she's the spitting image of her mama. Now, what Austen-esque names shall we give them until they're in their forever homes? Willoughby? Mr. Bingley? Oh that sounds like a good bouncy name for a bunny ;) What else....hmmm.....

Hi Heather, I love your new painting. She is indeed perfect for spring! Can't wait to see your new dolls - I love they'll be fresh and pretty springtime lasses. I have a soft spot for Colonel Brandon and Edward Ferrars - but I don't know if they're suitable bunny names. Willowby is a good one, however! Theresa
How very pretty. I long for spring!! I named my cat Mr. Knightly. My husband came in when I was watching the ending to the new Emma the other night and asked, "Is that why you named that cat Mr. Knightly?" I smiled and said, "Of course! Who could NOT like Mr. Knightly! " :) (Not sure if that's how his name was spelled, but it suited for my cat. :)

I kind of like Darcy, because it can be a boy's or a girl's name.
Will you be posting more photos of the baby bunnies? I would love to see them before they make their way out into the world.
