~

Lately time just seems to be getting away from me.....so many things going on....

Last Thursday I turned 29 :) I will perhaps remain 29 for the next several years ;) depending on how I feel come next September! I also ended my time working at Anthropologie by royally burning myself with an industrial glue gun (can you say youch!) and now suddenly feeling the full weight of upcoming craft shows with so much anticipation and trying to find the inspiration for that last burst of creativity.

I am so happy it is finally fall though. It was positively chilly this morning. I think the rabbits will enjoy this sort of weather, the type luxurious fur coats are made for! We had some big home improvements done to the little house over the weekend, including the finishing of our back porch which I am so excited about. I now wish it would rain so I can sit under my new porch roof and enjoy it :)

I've been working on a little family commission that is almost done and then plan to refocus myself big time for completing more holiday paintings and more dolls. What are you working on this last week of September?

And finally, I wanted to share with you that the art show in Indianapolis that I will be a part of is fast approaching--- "Useful and Beautiful: A Return to Myth and Romance in Art" will open on Oct. 8 at Big Hat Books in Indianapolis, In. with a reception from 6-9. Unfortunately I wont be there to see it all in person but I know its going to be a fabulous show, and you're nearby you should definitely go check it out!

Well, back to the art table for me...looking forward to a quiet week of painting ahead of me....

So sorry to hear about your burn! I hope it heals soon. Indianapolis is not that far from Norwalk (maybe a 4 hour drive) perhaps I will have to take a road trip. Also - I picked up the latest Somerset Studio over the weekend - loved seeing your work in there. Hope you have a rainy (so you can sit on your new porch) and productive week:)

Ooh, a covered porch? That sounds lovely, and perfect timing with our gorgeous weather we'll be enjoying this week! Sorry about the burn, but on the upside, love the new Anthro purchase you made! Did you buy anything else? So far I've been really good and made more money than I've spent. We'll see how long I can keep it up! ;)

OUCH! I have done exactly the same thing. Hope the burn heals quickly. I've been so busy doing some knitting commissions (hurray!) and getting ready for my own little birthday (I've stopped counting! LOL) So, the week will consist of sending out packages, listing new items, doing a birthday post, cleaning, and baking cupcakes. :) Theresa

Don't worry yourself, dear. You'll get everything done in time. That being said, I need to practice what I preach. I always feel like I'm behind when I have shows approaching, no matter how prepared I may be.

You're the most adorable 29-year-old there is! :-)

:) I have been working like an insane squirrel on my new art blog!
As well as an etsy store - however I still need to add things for sale - if it will just stop raining here in New England - I need natural light pictures for the big paintings...
Just joined your blog as a follower :)

Oh! and I forgot to add that as an artist, yes it is important to find your voice and that involves evolving. Trying new directions and seeing how that works out.
