Good News!~

I just love opening up the mailbox and finding things like this:

It's my spooky halloween painting "Nevermore"! Published in the October issue of Somerset Studio. My favorite art mag and my favorite issue that they put out!

I remember finding my first halloween edition of Somerset Studio years ago.....and I remember looking through it at a booth at Village Inn one evening....probably having the chicken fried steak skillet, and mooning over the magazine and wanting so badly to be a part of whatever this newfangled mixed media art thing was.

And step by step, one little thing after another and many many paintings later, I am thrilled to be a part of 2 halloween Somerset Studios. And look at this! A full page! I love that feeling of things coming full circle.

Thanks to all of you too who have always encouraged me and made me want to create more and do more. Knowing that there are people out there that love the things I make is the best feeling. And you make me want to make more. So thank you!~

Happy Monday!!~

Oh, congrats! How wonderful to be in Somerset Studios magazine and especially the Halloween edition. I just LOVE Halloween!! It seems very few people around me care for the holiday at all - I always dress up - make a full party spread, decorate like crazy and buy lots of candy for the little trick or treaters. I wish I lived close to other Halloween lovers so the party would be more fun. Love your Halloween art! I'm working on some Halloween stuff right now, too. ;) Can't wait to grab a copy of the new magazine, I've missed the past few issues, but Halloween? Not to be missed!
