It is decidedly spring time here on the prairie. On Saturday, we had swirling waves of snow falling softly all around, covering the newly sprouted tulips and daffodils, and chilling us through. Today.....the sky is clear, and bright springtime blue. It will get to 70* today. This season is a bit exhausting ;)
Of course this all makes for a beautiful Tasha Tuesday. One I hope to enjoy a lot of, with windows flung open and the breeze blowing through. I hope you have a beautiful Tasha Tuesday as well. And in honor of the day, I thought I would let this by your Tasha Tuesday. It's your turn to share your thoughts! So tell me.....How did you discover the artist Tasha Tudor? What is it that made you a fan? What do you admire most about this remarkable woman?
I look forward to hearing your replies....

I became aware of the name in Victoria magazine a few years ago. They featured her lifestyle often. I am also a fan of Francis Hodgen Burnett. But you will be happy to know, I have learned the most about here, on your Tuesday posts. Well done.
I fell in love with Tasha's artwork in a book that I got my daughter many years ago, then several years later I found the book about Tasha's garden that I gave my Mom for mothers day and fell in love with her gardens. This spurred me on to learn more about this facinating woman. I have been reading and collecting anything Tasha Tudor for many years. I have also had the privledge of visiting her garden, unfortunatly that was just two days after she had passed away. How I would have loved to been able to meet her in person! I am enjoying your Tasha Tuesdays. Thanks, Jan
Oh Heather! I love Tasha Tudor and have been a fan of hers for years. It is kind of sad that I cannot remember my first connection with her - although I think it might have been through one of her Corgiville books. I was drawn to the simplicity and sweetness of her illustrations. I quickly started buying more of her books. I admire Tasha's determination to live her life the way she wanted to live it, without regard to the mores and dictations of contemporary society. Her strength and conviction, along with her amazing talent, are what have kept me a fan for so long. And I always long to learn more. Thanks for sharing Tasha Tuesdays with us all!!! :) Theresa
Just like Robin, I found Tasha in Victoria Magazine. I was captivated by her lifestyle and art. How she always remained true to herself. Something people rarely do.
Here! :) I discovered Tasha Tudor on your blog, Heather, and I'm so very glad I did because I find her dedication to "taking joy" and her willingness to create her own world in which to do that so fascinating and inspiring. And obviously, artistically, I've become a big fan of her work too, and many of her books have worked their way into our library. So thanks!
I had heard about Tasha years ago through her books, etc., but didn't know about her personal life until you started blogging about her! She was certainly a fascinating person, and I think I mostly admire her for having the courage to follow her heart and stay true to her calling. She followed her vision of what her life should be without concern about the world outside that vision, and I think that is such an inspiration.
Hi, i just came across your blog and noticed the tasha tudor post, so I'll need to go back throught the previous tasha tudor tuesdays! I read a book to my son about 20 years ago, and she had a recipe for cookies in it that I tried, and they've turned into our very favorites over the years. (Butter Jam cookies)
I can't comment on every post, but I want to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. And the way you have really integrated Tasha's life and example, the way you mull it over and extract meaning from it. Thank you.
